Our Process

3 Days - 3 Weeks - 3 Months

Transitions can be tough.  Sometimes, the transition is harder on the family than the resident.  Tell us if this sounds like you or someone you know; We are reminded of when kids go to college, the new student is facing a whole new world, sometimes anxious, sometimes calling home.  Often, for those kids, the parents know that in a few days life settles down, a routine will be established and calm restored as the student adjusts.  Now, as Mom or Dad moves to a new home it’s the kids turn to parent.  This is often our experience...

  • 3 Days

The first few days can be tough. Everything is new. No one likes change. Kids get calls, guilt is running high. It’s awful. Trust the process, it works.
  • 3 Weeks

A new routine helps with transition, we get to know each other, we become familiar with our surroundings. We call home a little less. Kids guilt goes down
  • 3 Months

It’s like you have always been visiting Mom/Dad here. Guilt all but gone.
